Is Sentestar anonymous?

Yes. The identity of the voter is not revealed to the person they vote for. However, administrators can view who voted for whom and read any accompanying comments.

Can voters give comments?

Yes. Voters must select a core value that the Sentestar has demonstrated, and are encouraged to explain their choice through written comments. These comments are visible to administrators.

How are winners tracked?

Winners and high-performing individuals are displayed on a dashboard that updates daily. Organisations subscribed to the Governance module can access this data directly.

How often can Sentestar be used?

Sentestar can be used continuously, with voting available at any time. Organisations may choose to present awards monthly, quarterly, or annually.

Can anyone vote for a Sentestar?

Yes. Any user with access to Sentestar can vote for any other user within the system.

Is it difficult to implement Sentestar?
No. Launching is straightforward. Provide the names, email addresses, direct managers, and departments of participants. After logging in and uploading a profile picture, participants are ready to begin. For Sentepulse, your organisation will need to provide the survey questions. Access to Sentestar and Sentemeter is also enabled during this setup if applicable.
What is the difference between Sentesurvey and Sentepulse?
  • Sentesurvey includes 16 fixed, standardised benchmarking questions (similar to the Gallup Q12), plus a 17th NPS-style question. Responses are scored from 1 to 10.
  • Sentepulse is a fully customisable survey, allowing organisations to create their own questions. There is currently no limit to the number of questions, and responses are also scored from 1 to 10.
How are results published?

Survey results and participation rates are presented on dashboards that update daily. These are accessible to Governance module subscribers.

How frequently can surveys be run?

Surveys can be launched at any time. However, it is recommended to run no more than one Sentepulse per month and one Sentesurvey per quarter.

Feedback can be given daily to any other participant within the organisation.

Not at all. On average, participants provide feedback to 28 colleagues in less than three minutes per session.

What is the direct messaging function?
Sentegram is a built-in messaging tool that allows users to send positive messages to colleagues. It’s especially valued by managers as a personalised way to recognise and motivate team members.
Is it difficult to implement Sentemeter?

No. Implementation is simple. Provide a list of participants including names, emails, managers, departments, and site (if applicable). Once users log in and upload a profile picture, they’re ready to participate. This also activates access to Sentestar and Sentesurveys if enabled.

How many participants can use Sentemeter?
There is no upper limit. The minimum recommended group size is 30, with optimal results achieved in groups of 100 or more.
What is a good participation rate for Sentemeter?
Sentemeter is designed to be fast and engaging. We typically see participation rates of 80–95% per month, with thousands of feedback entries generated daily.
Can users manipulate or “pick on” individuals to lower their indexes?
To date, Sentemeter feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with millions of interactions recorded. If any concerns about bullying or misuse arise, the Governance module can flag unusual patterns and enable proactive intervention before issues escalate.
